Disability Elderly Assist Handrail
The DE Assist range of handrails has been specially designed to help companies comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). Unlike conventional handrails, the DE Assist range is assembled without need for riveting, drilling of tube, welding, threading or other specialist tools. It can be put together using a simple hexagon key tool. No special fittings are required, which enables full integration with both new interclamp systems and the refurbishment or upgrading of existing tubular fittings.
To meet the requirements of the DDA , the DE Assist range of handrails forms flush joints along all mounting points. This allows a smooth edge for people to hold onto the whole length of the handrail, allowing the hand to grip and slide along the handrail without having to be released from the handrail to manoeuvre joins and posts.
Disabled access slopes as well as steps are easily accommodated with the DE Assist range.
